About Tabby Stone
Tabby Stone has been a premier provider of cast stone products since 1988. We design, manufacture and install architectural cast stone. Classic cast stone columns and elegant cast stone fireplace mantels are just part of an extensive product line. We have over 2,000 permanent cast stone molds. Gone are the days when every cast stone project was a custom job and required special molds. Today, our 25,000 square-foot manufacturing facility allows us to complete any cast stone project on time. We invite you to visit the Tabby Stone sales offices and manufacturing plant. It's a great place for architects, builders, and contractors to view product samples, colors and textures for their next cast stone project.
Phases for Manufacturing Cast Stone Products
- Phase 1 - The initial design consultation for your cast stone project is conducted with your sales representative and Tabby Stone project manager. During this session, your project plans and cast stone scope are reviewed. The color and texture are selected for your cast stone products. Profiles are selected. Your project's timeframe and initial budget are established. After this session, our staff will prepare a written cast stone costs estimate for your project.

- Phase 2 - Shop drawings are prepared once the order for your cast stone project has been received. These detailed drawings show the actual cast stone pieces to be produced. Installation drawings show project elevations and layout. Once the submittal has been approved, your cast stone project is scheduled for production.

- Phase 3 - Plans for your cast stone project are sent to our mold shop. Tabby Stone has an extensive selection of proven casting molds but we also understand that your project may require custom cast stone pieces. All custom molds are designed using our CAD system and are assembled by our carpenters. Since our mold shop is located at our facility, we can guarantee a rapid turnaround time that will help control your project's cast stone costs. Because of our extensive experience and expertise in making wood, foam, fiberglass and rubber molds, we are able to produce cast stone products of exceptional quality.

- Phase 4 - As the casting molds are completed, the cast stone project is scheduled for manufacturing. Our production area is a dedicated 10,000 square foot building where we have the capability of producing both wet cast and dry cast products. To ensure the mixture's design consistency, Tabby Stone uses a batch mixing system from Mixmaster. Our system automatically weighs the sand, aggregates, cement and color additives. The resulting mix casts with a consistent color and has a strength that exceeds 6,500 psi. During cast stone production, all cast items have an ID tag applied that is used for product tracking all the way through the casting and shipping processes to installation of your cast stone product.

- Phase 5 - The preparation of shipping documents and product packaging are the last steps before your cast stone products leave Tabby Stone. Each cast stone piece is cleaned, detailed and organized. All cast stone products are packed whether we are shipping locally or across the country to minimize the possibility of damage.

- Phase 6 - Cast stone product installation is the final project phase. Tabby Stone offers product delivery and installation for customers with residential or commercial buildings in the North Florida or the South Georgia service areas. Our skilled installers will work closely with your project manager to complete your cast stone project within the established timeframes and control your projects's cast stone costs. Tabby Stone installation teams have worked on hundreds of cast stone projects and you can always expect the highest level of quality.
